Johnnie Snipp

SNIPP, JOHNNIE LEO "PAT," 79, of Louisville, went to meet his heavenly Father on January 15, 2009.
He was born October 12, 1929, to the late William and Lorraine Snipp. He was a retired electrician after 43 years with DuPont Chemical Company and a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a devoted Catholic and was very proud to be a member of the Church of the Incarnation family. He was an avid roller skater at the Robin's Roost Rink and he loved to teach children to skate. He was an accomplished artist, loved boating, skiing, hunting, camping and anything outdoors. He also loved doing anything for his family and friends. He will be met in Heaven by his parents, and brother, Bernard Snipp.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Louise Kiefer Snipp; his daughters, Connie Barrett, Marsha Roth (Ronnie) and Denise Straley; his grandchildren, Stephenie Switzer (Todd), Matthew Roth (Vicki), Nathan, Amanda and Andrew Straley and Jamie Edwards; great-grandchildren, Skyler and Trent Switzer, Samantha and Austin Roth and Christopher Straley; a sister, Shirley Dunn; a brother, Jerry Snipp; and many nieces and nephews, including Sandy Jones, who was always there for him and his family. His funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2009, at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday noon-8 p.m. There will be a celebration of his life at his church immediately following his services.
