Myrtle Ruth "Gone Home" Fessel
NEW SALISBURY - Fessel, Myrtle Ruth "Gone Home," 90, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation-Indian Creek, Corydon, IN.
Mrs. Fessel was born April 18, 1922 at New Salisbury, IN to the late William O. and Lizzie Ella Wolfe Gutknecht. She was a home maker and attended Saint Bernard Catholic Church, Frenchtown, IN and Saint Michael's Catholic Church, Bradford, IN.
Also preceding her in death were her husband of 73 years, Leonard E. Fessel; brother, Bill Gutknecht; sisters, Margie Wheat and Mildred Dodds.
Surviving are children, Jerry L. Fessel (Yvonne) of Corydon, IN, Max W. Fessel, Sr. (Sue) of Depauw, IN, Rena Lois Stickler (Jack) of Depauw, IN, Calvin Russ Fessel (Vivian) of Noblesville, IN, Judith Ann Matthews (Russ) of Prospect, KY, Mark A. Fessel (Jimmi Jean) of Depauw, IN, Thomas L. Fessel (Kathy) of New Salisbury, IN, Cathy Pearl (Curtis) of Corydon, IN, Samuel L. Fessel (Tracy) of New Salisbury, IN; 26 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, 11400 Farmers Lane NE, Greenville, IN, 47124 with burial in the Church Cemetery. Visitation is 4 - 8 p.m. Monday, 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy. 64 NW, Ramsey, IN and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Michael's Catholic Church.
Memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice or Saint Bernard Catholic Church, 7600 Hwy. 337 NW, Depauw, IN.
