Lorna Kay Crosier
Lorna Kay Crosier, 59, of Elizabeth, died Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. She was born September 29, 1952, in Crawford County, Indiana, to Kathleen Birkla Atkins and the late Junior Atkins. She was a former employee of the U.S. Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, was a member of The Lighthouse United Methodist Church near Elizabeth, and was a member of the V.F.W. post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary in Corydon and the Bonnie Sloan American Legion Post 28 Ladies Auxiliary in New Albany.
She was preceded in death by her father, and her mother in law, Catherine Crosier.
Survivors include her husband, Allen D. Crosier; her son, Charles Allen Crosier (Ronnie) of Elizabeth; her mother of Corydon; her father in law, James E. Crosier of Corydon, her sister, Sandra Elaine McGuire (Larry) of Brandenburg; her grandchildren, Andrew James Crosier, Shelby Rae Crosier and Jared Mason Crosier; and her nephews, Dustin and Chris Bolen.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Rex Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Dunkard Cemetery near Elizabeth.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Troutman, James, Randall, Gary and Jerry Crosier and Chris Bolen. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Bolen and Andy Crosier.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to her church, the American Cancer Society or Dunkard Cemetery.
