Melvin F. Colin

MILLTOWN- COLIN, MELVIN F., 84, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Centre, Corydon, IN.
Melvin was born February 17, 1926 at Depauw, IN to the late Oliver Edmund and Mary Olive Saunders Colin. He graduated from Depauw High School, was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1944 to 1946.
Melvin was employed as a lab tech from 1952 to 1971 by E. I. Dupont Company in Louisville. In 1967, he began his own business, Colin Trailer Sales, New Salisbury, IN and sold the business in 1982.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Evelyn Tower whom he married on October 29, 1946. Also, preceding him in death were a son, Roger Alan Colin; brother, Donald Wayne Colin; and sister, Merlene Marie Henriott.
Surviving are daughter, Sheila Ann Bond (Myron Rodney), of Corydon; daughter-in-law, Barbara Lynn Colin, of Milltown; sister:, Joanna Bernetta Simon (Edward), of Ramsey, IN; grandchildren, Melissa Ann Stepro, Logan Forrester Bond, Jessica Lynn Colin and Taylor Alan Colin; great-grandchildren, Emma Nicole, Sterling Ray, Scarlett Grace and Brady Robert Stepro.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Bernard Catholic Church, Frenchtown, IN, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation: 1-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy 64 NW, Ramsey.
