Richard "Dick" Chandler
CHANDLER, RICHARD "DICK," 81, of Louisville, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at Suburban Hospital.
He was retired from DuPont after 41 years of service and was a Marine veteran of World War II.
Dick was a former Kentucky State Representative from the 38th Legislative District, past president of the Serra Club of Louisville, past president and board member of the Otter Creek Park board of directors, and a member of the board of directors at DuPont members' First Federal Credit Union.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph and a brother, Paul.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Siemens Chandler; his children, Richard "Rich," Dennis (Deborah), Steve, Daniel (Julie) and Deborah Rigdon (Troy); a sister, Patricia Mulligan (Jim); three brothers, John (Inge), Fred and Joe (Peggy); seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Guardian Angels Church, 6000 Preston Hwy., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Old Bardstown Road.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Mass of the Air.
