Clifford J. Chandler
Chandler, Clifford J.,86, of Louisville, passed away peacefully Friday, March 20, 2015.
He was a native of Louisville, son of the late Clifford and Coletta Norris Chandler. He was a graduate of Male High School and the J.B. Speed School at the University of Louisville. He served as a 1st Lt. in the Marines during the Korean War. Cliff was a retired chemical engineer for DuPont and also did consulting work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Martha Harrison.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Doris J. Chandler; children, Susan McIntyre (Dale), Patricia Lord (Kenny), Amy Martin (Kerry), Michael Chandler, Clifford Chandler, Jr. (Rita); grandchildren, Steven, Matthew, Rachel, Holly, Shelby, Katie, Rebecca, Elisabeth; brother, John Chandler (Joan), sister, Ruth Sheehan; and a son-in-law, Jeff Harrison.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. at Ratterman Funeral Home East, 12900 Shelbyville Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
