CECIL RAY BOBO, 69, Pekin, died June 22, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Louisville.
Born on May 30, 1943, he was the son of the late George Waldo Bobo and Dorothy Ruth (Nelson) Bobo. He was married for 48 years to Phyllis Jean (Marshall) Bobo, she survives, they were married on December 20, 1963. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was retired from E.I. DuPont Co.
Other survivors include; three sons, Mark (Andrea) Bobo of Pekin, Timothy (Christy) Bobo of Pekin, Steven R. (Amanda) Bobo of Stuttgart, Arkansas; two brothers, William (Gail) Bobo of Salem, Danny (Mailene) of Gaithersburg, Maryland; one sister, Paula Kay Minton of Salem; five grandchildren, Mark Jr, Matthew, Sara, Skylar and Cathern Bobo; one great-grandchild, Ayden Mattox Bobo. He was preceded in death by one brother.
The funeral service will be Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 5 p.m. at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home, Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 3 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Old Blue River Christian Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
